Hi, I'm Gabriel and I work as a DevOps engineer. I also have some experience as a developer, but my specialty is cloud infrastructure. Currently, I'm working with a lot of badass tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, reliability, and troubleshooting. It's always exciting to work with these stacks. I am responsible for executing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and defining new technologies and standards to be implemented in the company, following industry best practices for cloud resources. My main responsibilities include creating automations with Python, implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, managing AKS clusters, pipelines with Azure Pipelines, and using Azure cloud services. I also lead war rooms when the company faces issues and act on emergency resolution, primarily in Kubernetes clusters and their tooling stacks.

My role involves managing security and permissions in Azure DevOps and the Azure Portal, as well as managing users and integrating applications using Azure Active Directory. I implement and manage SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases as a service or in K8s clusters, and manage DNS Zones in the Azure Portal. Additionally, I implement and integrate RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka for messaging queues and act as a FinOps Cost Analyst on the Azure subscription. I'm responsible for network and infrastructure security management.

I collaborated as a Frontend Developer on the project 'Proposal for a Reusable Open Banking Platform to Reduce Dropout Rates and Financial Exclusion in Crateús'. In this project, the team developed software aimed at Open Banking. Open Banking is a set of rules and principles that, when followed, allow a bank or financial institution to make its computing infrastructure and data layer available to other organizations.

During my time as a Frontend Developer, I was tasked with developing an application for cement companies that used artificial intelligence APIs to analyze cement quality. I was responsible for the UI/UX development of the application, as well as its frontend development. My role included collaborating with the backend team to ensure AI API data was smoothly integrated into the application. I worked on creating a user-friendly interface that allowed users to navigate and analyze the data easily.

About

As a Computer Science student at the Federal University of Ceará - UFC, I developed a strong interest in web development, specializing in technologies such as React, Typescript, C#, .NET Framework, and SQLServer. While working as a developer, I discovered my passion for the infrastructure side of things, specifically DevOps/SRE. As a result, I transitioned into the infrastructure area and have been working as a DevOps engineer ever since.

Currently, I am skilled in a range of technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Rancher and more, and I have been able to utilize this knowledge to deliver effective solutions that optimize system reliability, efficiency, and security. I am constantly learning and striving to improve my skills, and I believe that my technical expertise combined with my dedication to teamwork and communication make me a valuable asset to any organization.
